Patricia O'Connell, Management Editor at BusinessWeek interviews Roger Bolton, past president of the Arthur W. Page Society and senior consultant, APCO Worldwide, on the latest white paper published by the Arthur W. Page Society and the Business Roundtable Institute for Corporate Ethics. The study found that public trust in business is at a 30-year low. According to Bolton, the goal of this study is to "start a process of dialogue within business and among those who care about business about what can business do differently in order to earn that trust." Bolton also points to the emergence of the digital network revolution as forcing businesses to become responsive to the concerns of stakeholders other than customers and shareholders.
