AT&T Assists Katrina Evacuees

AT&T Corporate Communications professionals assisted in the coordination of high speed DSL installations for evacuees, relief agencies and the media at the major relief centers. Here, a Corporate Communications team member assists an evacuee to register online at company’s make-shift computer center at a Kelly Air Force Base shelter to look for missing family members, try to contact employers, find temporary housing, and take other steps. The AT&T Corporate Communications team also provided assistance of telephones and computers at the Houston Astrodome, Reunion Arena in Dallas and other major shelters for evacuees.  See the news release issued on October 2, 2006 for more details.
